How to change your repayment card?

Time for a new card? Changing your repayment card in the Vuelo app is a breeze. Just follow these steps to update your payment details.


1. Head to ‘Purchases’ 🛍️

Open your Vuelo app and go to the Purchases section to see your active bookings.


2. Select your purchase 💳

Tap the purchase you want to update.
Here you’ll see your plan details and upcoming repayments.


3. Tap ‘Change’ on your card 🔁

Under ‘Using Registered Card’, tap Change to update your repayment method.


4. Add your new card & make a £1 payment 💷

Enter the details of the new card you’d like us to use.

To securely save this card, you’ll be asked to make a £1 payment:

  • This £1 is not refunded

  • It is kept and deducted from your outstanding balance, so you owe £1 less on your plan

Once the £1 payment goes through, your new card is saved for all future repayments on that purchase.


5. You’re all set ✅

Your new card is now set as the repayment method for that purchase.
Future instalments will be collected from this card automatically.




Quick tips 👇

  • Make sure your new card has sufficient funds for upcoming payments.

  • If a payment fails on the new card, you can repeat the same steps to update it again.

  • You can change your repayment card whenever you need to — there’s no fee apart from the £1 balance-reducing payment when saving a new card.
