How do I create and use Vuelo one time card?

Updated over a week ago

Wondering how? Let's get you set up with a Vuelo one time card!
โ€‹

1. Create your one-time card ๐Ÿ’ณ

Open the Vuelo app and go to:
โ€‹Wallet โ†’ One-time card โ†’ Create new card

This will generate a unique virtual card you can use for one travel purchase only.

2. Choose your spending amount ๐Ÿ’ธ

Enter the total amount you want the card to cover.

  • If the amount is within your credit limit, you pay just the deposit.

  • If the amount is higher than your limit, you can top up โ€” the extra difference is paid upfront during the deposit stage.

3. Use the card to book your travel ๐ŸŒ

At checkout on the airline or hotel website, simply enter the:

  • Card number

  • Expiry date

  • CVC

  • Cardholder name + billing address (Vuelo auto-fills this in the app)

Your one-time card works only for real travel purchases, such as:
โœ” Flights
โœ” Hotels
โœ” Airbnb stays
โœ˜ Not supported: gift cards, wallet top-ups, test authorisations, or non-travel merchants.

4. Donโ€™t delete the card until youโ€™re done โš ๏ธ

If you delete the card before your booking is completed, it becomes invalid and youโ€™ll need to create a new one.

5. Your card is valid for 24 hours โณ

One-time cards expire after 24 hours for security reasons.
If it expires, simply create a new card in the app.

Refunds & deposits ๐Ÿ’ฐ

If the booking fails or you delete/replace the card:

  • Any deposit taken upfront is automatically refunded โ€” no need to contact us.

  • Refunds normally appear within 1โ€“3 business days, depending on your bank.

Quick Tips ๐Ÿ‘‡

  • Make sure the card amount matches the final price on the travel website.

  • If a booking fails, donโ€™t retry with the same card. Create a fresh one.

  • You can create as many one-time cards as you need, as long as you stay within your credit limit.
